Web Thummer is a Web site capture tool that outputs any size JPG file of a given HTML document, local or remote. It can automate the process of capturing hundreds of documents into thumbnail sized OR full size, FULL LENGTH images for purposes ranging from visual indexing, to archiving. Webmasters can present links in a visual fashion, and template designers can rapidly turn folders full of template files into thumbnails sized images for display. Local file functions can scan folders (recursively or not), to generate images of any size, directly in their respective folders.
Web Thummer will save you substantially more than it's selling price in terms of time, the very first time you use it. Thummer is extremely easy to use, and the speed at which it works is a relief to anyone who has ever done this the old fashion way. And Thummer's FULL LENGTH mode will amuse even the Web veteran.

I'm very pleased with how quickly it works to make the thumbnails from local directories. In the registered version, it can create a file list by recursively searching through folders for any .HTML files; you can edit that list, and then "snap" a thumbnail of each one of those files. It did 150 in a very short time ... I don't know how long exactly, because I started it and switched windows to write a paragraph, and when I was back it was done. Probably less than two minutes. This is a huge time-saver over loading the HTML page in my browser, hitting print screen, then pasting the image into a graphics program.

I'm happy to have found Web Thummer. I have been looking for an application such as this for quite a while, and while there are other HTML snappers out there, the automation and database capability of Thummer is a real convenience. Great job.

I searched the web looking for a program that could create snapshots of my web pages with ease. Web Thummer fit the bill. It's fast and easy to use, but if you get stuck (like I did), the support is superb. I had an email back with the answer to my question within an hour.
